  • Mayor Stubbs of Talkeetna, Alaska –  This cat was elected town mayor for twenty years! His title was honorary, as the town is only a historic district. Stubbs would go to a nearby restaurant every day and drink fancy catnip water in a glass of wine or margarita.  
  • Snowball Hemingway –  As his last name suggests, this puss was the faithful companion of the famous American writer Ernest Hemingway.
  • Ta-Miu –  Back in Ancient Egypt, this cat was the pet of Pharaoh Amenhotep III in the 18th dynasty. His beloved cat was mummified and buried in a decorative sarcophagus adorned with gold, precious stones, and elaborate artwork.
  • Crème Puff – This kitty was the oldest known cat in history, earning him the Guinness World Record title for the oldest known cat. Crème Puff lived 38 years and 3 days: unbelievable!
